Web Maintenance and Support

Your website has to be hosted on a web server for it to be accessible to your customers and rest of the world. This is true for every website, including the sites you use every day such as Google, Yahoo and Facebook. The monthly fee we charge you goes toward paying for your share of the web server resources and services related to maintenance, upkeep and security of your website. Additionally, you get a host of complementary features including hacker protection, daily backups and 24/7 tech support. It is important to remember that regardless of who designs your website and where you get it hosted, there is always a monthly, quarterly or yearly fee for owning a website.

Hiring us for web maintenance is a great way to keep your website looking as pristine as the first day it was launched. Oftentimes, images, pages, and functionality get broken when clients maintain their own websites. Even though you can manage your content with WordPress, it is often more and affordable to hire a professional web development team so you can focus on your business. We also keep your plugins and WordPress up-to-date to protect your website from hackers. Best of all, you will have access to our WordPress expertise at a fraction of the cost of hiring an in-house web designer or developer or any other company out there.

We offer FREE MAINTENANCE AND HOSTING FIRST YEAR for our new clients so they can concentrate on growing their business instead of worrying about technical part.

Everyone’s site is different and require different maintenance priorities. Now, let’s take a look at the list of some of the things we do on daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly bases to keep your site updated and in perfect shape so you can concentrate on your business.

  • Uptime – We visit your site to make sure it is working.
  • Backup – We perform a daily backup of WordPress files and database on our server and offsite to make sure if your site goes down, we got your back.
  • Comment moderation – If have a Blog, we approve any comments in your moderation queue, and check your spam list for false positives. If you get a lot of comments, you should do this daily.
  • Updates – We update WordPress along with your plugins and themes if new versions are available to make sure you have the latest version.
  • Malware scan – Scan for any infected files or malware.
  • Visual inspection – Visually inspect your website and check for problems with layout or formatting. We test this with different web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. We view your website from a mobile device to make sure it looks good and is responsive.
  • Verify backups – We make sure that your backup files are going where they are supposed to.
  • Analytics – We log into Google Analytics and review trends, referrals and page-flow and learn how to use this information to increase traffic to your site.
  • Change passwords – We don’t make it easy for hackers, we use strong password and if necessary, we change it every 6 months. This all depend on activity on your website during past 6 months.
  • Delete unused plugins and themes – We deactivate and delete all unnecessary plugins and themes and just leave the latest default WordPress theme. Unnecessary plugins increase your website’s overhead and the risk of vulnerabilities.
  • Delete unnecessary files – We check for unnecessary files in your wp-content folder and browse through your Media Library to remove any images, videos and audio files you no longer require. We use plugin like Delete Not Used Image or Media Cleaner to automatically remove unreferenced images. We always perform a backup before deleting anything!
  • Fix dead links – You don’t want your visitors receiving a “Page Not Found” error when clicking on a link. We find any dead links and fix them.
  • Verify contact form(s) – We send ourselves a message using your website’s contact form to make sure it works as it should.
  • Optimize database – We delete any draft posts you’ll never finish (if running a Blog) and empty your comment spam then optimize the database.
  • Speed audit – We test and see how fast your site loads. If it takes more than five seconds, we implement caching and other measures to speed up your site. Slow sites lose visitors and search rankings.
  • Review About page – We check your About page for anything that needs to be updated: your contact details, profile picture, mission statement, testimonials.
  • Review theme and plugins – We check for new plugins that outperform those you’re currently using and update them to make sure your site performs perfectly.
